In many cases, the forests which provide our wood sustain not only their own complex eco-systems of plants and animals, but also the economy of their local communities. We have a duty of care in both of these respects; the results of our actions can have wide-reaching effects for which we take full responsibility.

For both ethical and commercial reasons, maintaining stocks for future generations is a priority. We are also aware that the public’s increased exposure to the issues surrounding forest management means there is now a flourishing market for environmentally responsible products.
